What surfaces can I apply a Liquid Rubber coating to?

Liquid Rubber is designed to be applied to structurally sound materials and is not a substitute for roofing membranes.

The following substrates can be re-coated with Liquid Rubber:

  • Metal
  • Coated or Galvanised Steel
  • Weathered Aluminum
  • Weathered Copper
  • EPDM Rubber membrane
  • Concrete (except foot traffic surfaces)
  • Urethane Foam
  • Primed Wood
  • Fibreglass
  • PVC Sheet and Pipe
  • Acrylic Sheet
  • Sponge Rubber insulation

Do NOT use a rubber liquid coating directly on the following substrates:

You can use the Liquid Rubber on nearly all of these substrates if you apply the flexible epoxy primer first.

  • Bitumen based roofs
  • Built up asphalt roofs
  • Asphalt shingles
  • Modified asphalt roll roofing
  • Stainless steel
  • Glass
  • Silicone caulk
  • Foot traffic surfaces
  • Hypalon Membrane
  • TPO
